Sugano Fuu is a first-year student at Tsukiyado High School. She and her upperclassman Norizuki and classmate Hirose decide to investigate the "Seven Mysteries of Tsukiyado" for their club—not because they are particularly interested, mostly to fill the time. They pick the easiest mystery: a strange old shrine on school grounds. When they arrive, Hamura and Kuga are already there—not friends exactly, more like strangers they recognize. Someone pries open the rusted door. It crumbles apart. Inside the rubble, something is there that none of them can quite describe. Smoke pours out. By the time it clears, all five of them have been transformed into frogs.
