At an exhibition called "The Mirror of the World," the protagonist meets eight young men. That night, drawn by the scent of pomegranate, she eats one — and wakes the next morning gripping a hand mirror she has never seen before. A voice from the mirror identifies itself as its spirit and tells her to "save the fated one." The same men reappear, but when they enter what they call the Mirror World, they change — feverish, obsessive, calling her only "Snow White." A queen is hunting her. No one will explain why she is being called that name, or why she needs to be afraid.
