Skull Island: Rise of Kong

Based on the King Kong mythos, Skull Island: Rise of Kong tells the origin of the mighty ape as a tale of loss and vengeance set on the primordial Skull Island. The story opens in tragedy, as a young Kong witnesses the slaughter of his family at the hands of a tyrannical creature known as the Deathrunner Gaw. Left alone in a savage wilderness teeming with monstrous fauna, the orphaned Kong dedicates himself to growing stronger, hardening his body and honing his ferocity through years of struggle against the island's deadly predators. As he matures into a towering adult, Kong sets out across the untamed landscape in pursuit of the beast that destroyed everything he loved. His journey carries him through hostile jungles and the lairs of fearsome creatures, each battle a step toward confronting Gaw and claiming his place as the rightful ruler of Skull Island. It is a primal saga of a lone survivor forging himself into a king.
