Red Spider Anecdote: The Longest Nite

Chapter Spider. Bangkok, 2009. Ben, a senior executive of Hong Kong triad the Red Flower Society, is found murdered. The society's head, Yeung Kwun, hires Yvet — a former assassin who escaped the organization known as the Web and now lives under the society's protection — to investigate. The primary suspect is Ramrowan, leader of the Newmoon syndicate. Yvet knows Ramrowan from a previous life and goes to Thailand to clear his name and find the truth. Chapter Cuckoo. Thailand, 2009. Jade, an operative for North Korea's Ministry of State Security, is tracking defectors when she witnesses the assassination of the very broker she was following. The broker's missing mobile phone holds the key to a conspiracy. To find it, Jade teams up with a former subordinate, Yooyi, who has since defected and now works in Thailand's red-light district.
