Four years ago, Yvet left "The Web"—a Hong Kong-based assassination organization. She now works as a singer at the Amaryllis nightclub, which is owned by Yeung Kwun, the head of an underworld organization in Kowloon. Life has been stable. She reconnects with Lai, a former detective who has opened a small agency. Then a model named Yanyan is found murdered in a back alley in Kowloon Bay, and a burlesque dancer named Panther—Yanyan's lover—is arrested as the prime suspect. Francis, Yeung Kwun's son and Yvet's own lover, is assigned to defend Panther and asks Yvet to find evidence for the case. The investigation pulls her back toward a world she thought she had finished with.
