A Neo Geo Pocket port of Puyo Puyo Tsuu, licensed to SNK by Sega, was released in North America and Europe as Puyo Pop. About This Game

Puyo Pop brings the puzzle tower gameplay of Puyo Puyo Tsu to Western audiences. Rather than a linear story mode, the main experience drops Arle Nadja into a randomized challenge tower where each floor requires reaching an EXP threshold by defeating a roulette-selected roster of opponents. Miss the goal after clearing all challengers and a bonus opponent appears — fail again, and Arle is eliminated. EXP requirements vary across platform versions: the Super Puyo Puyo Tsu release demands double the points on the first floor compared to the arcade and Mega Drive editions.
