In 1950s New York, Joe Dunn, the owner of a humble boxing club, is found hanged — and at the same moment, his protégé and greatest hope, Robert Yale, is reported missing. Though devastated by these blows, Joe's daughter Sonia resolves to keep her father's dream alive, taking over the club and calling on John Blacksad to investigate the mysterious disappearance.
