The people of Zenobia are in rebellion against the occupying Holy Zeteginean Empire. Tristan — a minor figure in March of the Black Queen — must reclaim his kingdom from the Black Knight Baldr. He begins by assembling a volunteer army and pushing back bandits who have overrun his lands, then focuses on Jenga, the bandit leader. Subsequent route choices determine whether Tristan liberates the prisoners of Sikto Prison or moves directly on Baldr's forward base at Megaholten. How he answers Baldr's questions and which routes he takes shape his alignment between law and chaos — and ultimately whether he flees alone, rebuilds in place, or marches on to topple the Empire entirely.
