About This Game

Set in the Edo period — the Tokugawa shogunate era spanning 1603 to 1868 — the game draws from the political and cultural world shaped by Tokugawa Ieyasu, who established the shogunate at Edo on March 24, 1603. The era ended with the Meiji Restoration in May 1868 and the fall of the fifteenth and final shogun, Tokugawa Yoshinobu.
