By the sixth chapter of the Grauenheim apartment murders, the pattern Nao Tsunoda has been tracking is well-established: each victim disfigured with symbolic precision, each corpse arranged to carry a specific meaning. The apartment complex has long since stopped feeling merely gloomy — it is a locked room with a hunter still inside.
