Studio Town is where Sims go to get famous. Movie lots, recording facilities, and fashion stages fill the district, along with agents who'll gladly represent any aspiring star—for the standard percentage. Fame is tracked on a five-star meter that climbs half a point at a time with each successful performance, and players can directly influence what their Sims do on stage: choosing music genres, shaping singing styles, giving the NPC directors exactly what they're looking for.
Make it to the top and the rewards multiply—money, fans, and friendships—along with the baggage that follows celebrity: paparazzi, obsessive fans, and the occasional stalker. Sims who prefer the perks without the spotlight can furnish their homes with the new objects the expansion introduces: satellite dishes with premium channels, a fully operational skydiving simulator, and a domestic staff to handle the ordinary.
