In The Sims, life is all about decision-making. From the layout of their homes to their moods, personalities, and skills, you are immersed in the everyday lives of your Sims — buying and arranging unique items for houses and offices, replacing worn-out furnishings, and steadily building and maintaining the world your Sims inhabit. You guide them through life's stages, and the chemistry between Sims grows out of your choices, shaped by how you steer their conversations and interactions. There are ten career tracks for your breadwinners to pursue, each with ten rungs to climb, and every promotion demands the right skills to earn it. Your Sims can also suffer floods, fires, and burglaries — and neglect has consequences: starvation, exhaustion, or even a simple missed trip to the bathroom can stop a Sim in their tracks. Death is always a possibility, and an entire family can be wiped out by sheer neglect.
