The protagonist, Larry Lovage, is a student at Walnut Log Community College whose goal is to land a spot on a dating TV show called "Swingles." The show's hostess, Uma Yasmine, won't let him on until he proves his seductive wits by collecting "tokens of affection" — and sixteen college girls conveniently stand ready to be won over. His aging uncle, Larry Laffer of the original games, turns up at a local bar to offer brief advice. Along the way, Larry must outwit a sorority house and a fraternity called Dio, whose members recite lines that are really modified Black Sabbath lyrics. A brief subplot follows the college's arena football team facing a rival squad, the Maiming Maggots — the home team's name a running gag, perpetually obscured to read only "Flaming Fa-," until the final scene reveals it as the Flaming Fantasticks once the Swingles van departs.
