About This Game

For the first time, your Sims can live through all four seasons — and the novelty of seasonal activities and weather-appropriate outerwear promises a whole new layer of excitement. Spring, summer, autumn and winter don't just change the scenery; each one brings distinct effects on your Sims' relationships, moods, skills, careers and more. Dress them properly for the conditions, too, since freezing temperatures, sunburn and other surprises are all in play. The expansion gives players the outdoor, seasonal variety they'd long asked for, and because every season unfolds a little differently each year, no two cycles look quite the same. From fishing on a cool lake with Dad to chasing fireflies on a warm summer night, the pack leans into the small, memorable moments of life. A new gardening system adds another outlet for creativity and nurturing. As the seasons turn, your Sims can sing in the rain or be struck by lightning amid snow, thunderstorms and hailstorms. Each season carries its own activities, skills and clothing: Sims play in fallen leaves, chase fireflies, and have snowball fights, while also risking frostbite, sunburn and allergies — countered with earmuffs, gloves, sundresses, winter coats and raincoats. Six new careers round things out — journalism, gaming, adventures, law, education and music — along with reward items and skill-building objects to help Sims climb their chosen paths. In spring you plant a garden, tend it through summer, and harvest it come fall.
