About This Game

The game opens as Geralt of Rivia — one of the last of the witchers, roaming monster-slayers for hire blessed with unnatural powers — is carried to the witcher fortress of Kaer Morhen by his fellows, who found him unconscious in a field. Geralt remembers almost nothing of his former life. At Kaer Morhen he meets the sorceress Triss Merigold, but the keep soon comes under attack by a band of marauders called the Salamandra, led by a criminal known as the Professor and backed by two mages — Savolla, who commands a huge mantis-like beast, and Azar Javed. The witchers and Triss manage to slay the monster and kill Savolla, yet the Professor and Javed escape with the stolen mutagens used to transform witchers. After healing Triss of the wounds she took fighting Javed, Geralt and the other witchers scatter in different directions to hunt down leads on the Salamandra.
