Petit Four

Kanzaki Mei has always planned to work at her grandfather's small French restaurant. When he is hospitalized and her family moves to sell both the building and the land, Mei steps in and decides to run the place herself over summer break. The staff has mostly quit, leaving her with a volatile chef who tolerates no interference, a sommelier whose palate is his only redeeming quality, a floor manager allergic to flexibility, a classmate whose enthusiasm outstrips his talent, and a senior with a casual attitude toward effort. Mei has one summer to turn them — and the restaurant — around.
