Bullet Butlers: Juudan no Kanata

Two thousand years after eight heroes sealed away the No-Life King, the world of Gortrock has changed almost beyond recognition. Industrial revolution, democracy, guns in place of swords, monsters reclassified as protected species. In the city of Ocelot — home to humans, elves, dwarves, goblins, and orcs alike — the protagonist is Rick Arrowsmith, a half-elf working as personal butler to Selma Fortenmayer. She is the stepdaughter of Land, a Mystic One, and carries the right of succession. She is also rakka: an incomplete dragonith who can grow wings but never fully transform, a condition that has darkened her life since the accident that caused it. Rick has served her since childhood and continues to stand beside her even when the Council of Divine Guidance assassinates Land and the chaos that follows isolates Selma completely. What lies ahead involves the Council's conspiracies, corporate schemes, and a secret about Rick's own origins he has not yet confronted.
