Ancient China, under the reign of a tyrant. Demons roam the land and a poison rain has destroyed the crops for generations. The heavens send a messenger: you play as Yousen, a young woman with extraordinary talent for magic. You travel the land, meeting the rebel army's feudal princes and their strategist, gradually positioning yourself at the center of a plot to bring the queen's reign to an end. Between the battles, the game also asks what you want for yourself in a world this broken.
