Koutarichou Jin'youtan: Mayoigo no Shou

Ousaka Chise is heir to a family of Taimashi—specialists in subduing the demonic Housoushi—but has never seen a banishment performed. Her senior apprentice Miyuki takes her to Koutarichou: a border territory between the mortal world and nirvana where strange things happen every night, and where both humans with unusual circumstances and free-floating ayakashi wash ashore like driftwood. There she meets Ten'yuu Mukoujima, who smiles in a way that hides his intentions completely, and the downward-facing ayakashi Hakua, who seems afraid of something she refuses to name. The town holds the doubts Chise brought with her—and finds ways to make them larger.
