Gears of War 4

A quarter-century after the Locust threat was extinguished, humanity finds itself under the oppressive grip of a militarized Coalition of Ordered Governments, whose authoritarian leadership has driven idealistic soldiers like J.D. Fenix—son of the legendary Marcus Fenix—to defect and seek refuge with the Outsiders, a scattered population living beyond the regime's reach. When J.D. and his companions attempt to raid a COG facility to aid their struggling community, they inadvertently trigger a crackdown that pales in comparison to the horror that follows: a mysterious force begins systematically vanishing villagers under cover of darkness, forcing the young deserter to swallow his pride and reunite with his hardened father to confront an enemy that threatens to reshape the fate of humanity itself.
