A competitive puzzle game played on two side-by-side 8×16 grids. Nyoki fall in pairs into your grid as they do in the opponent's, and the goal is to gather adjacent groups of the same Nyoki and clear them—sending nuisance Nyoki into your opponent's grid as you do. Unlike the chain-pop timing of Puyo Puyo, Nyoki Nyoki lets you accumulate as many adjacent pieces as you want and trigger the elimination when it suits you, converting a falling pair into an activator that sets off a chain reaction. The game ends for whoever reaches the top of the third column first.
