The protagonist is the only survivor of a disaster that no one fully understands—including him. An experimental pharmaceutical called Rammex offers a solution: a drug designed to suppress the brain's protective distortion of traumatic memory and force a precise reconstruction of what actually happened. Injecting Rammex means diving into the protagonist's own mind as a first-person investigation, piecing together the events that led to the disaster and identifying who bears responsibility for what was lost.
