Piofiore: Fated Memories
Liliana Adornato was born and raised in the church in the center of the Italian town of Burlone. Three criminal organizations control parts of the city, and Lily discovers that she is in the center of their turf wars. Her encounters with the leaders of the Falzone, Visconti, and Lao-Shu families lead to danger and distraction. Once Lily is drawn into the shadowy world of the mafia, she realizes there is no going back. Every secret sleeps in that town. It is the early 20th century, and the South Italian city of Burlone — barely recovered from World War I — is ruled by three rival organizations known collectively as the Burlone Mafia. Liliana has been living peacefully here, an ordinary woman in an extraordinary place, until a certain event pulls her into one of the organizations against her will. Why she is being targeted, what she carries that makes her so sought after, is a mystery that connects to the deepest history of Burlone itself.
