Nil Admirari no Tenbin: Teito Genwaku Kitan

The Taishou era in this world lasted not fifteen years but forty — an extended, unstable period. To save her declining family, a young woman resolves to marry a man she has never met. Before the wedding can take place, her younger brother attempts self-immolation while clutching an old book. A government organization called Fukurou — the Imperial Library Intelligence Asset Management Bureau — arrives to explain: certain books, called Maremono, exert extreme influence over their readers. Her brother was a victim of one. As a result of the incident, the woman gains the ability to see the Aura that Maremono emanate — a visible manifestation of the sentiments trapped inside each book. She chooses to step outside the life her family planned and into something far stranger.
