Trumpet

Second-year student Shinima Junjou is worn down by chronic illness and social isolation, and has come to believe that death is the only honest resolution to a life he sees as a waste. Then, unexpectedly, he finds himself trying to be a source of light for others who are drowning in the same despair — in direct contradiction to everything he believes about himself. Trumpet is a story about hypocrisy, suffering, and what happens when someone who has given up starts quietly fighting for someone else.
