Christopher has been haunted for years by visions of a sinister land drenched in lechery and pain. To find answers, he joins the Cult of Ecstasy — an organization whose members seem to know exactly what he has been seeing. He immerses himself in the cult's customs, which are blasphemous and increasingly sexual. When pleasures of the ordinary world stop being enough, the cultists follow Christopher's visions and attempt to open a passage into Lusst'ghaa — the Land of Ecstasy that exists beyond the borders of reality.
