Corey, Kaleb, Brian, and Savannah are a rising pop punk band on tour in a van that breaks down near a haunted house. Looking for help inside leads to a hasty exit — with a ghost dog in tow. Kaleb names it Thief, they rebrand as Stop, Thief!, and the weirdness escalates from there. Every town on the tour brings a new supernatural encounter: vampires, werewolves, a giant fluffy spider-octopus, a haunted payphone that venue staff swear has never been there before. Corey blogs about all of it, develops a following, and everyone who reads it assumes the whole thing is elaborate fiction. It is not.
