Hashihime of the Old Book Town append

Jimbouchou, Tokyo, June 1922. The rainy season, Taisho era. Tamamori came to Tokyo with ambitions of getting into the Imperial University. He failed the entrance exam and has since been kicked out of his boarding house for exactly the kind of undisciplined, fantasy-prone behavior that got him there. Through luck, he lands at Umebachidou, a used bookshop, where he settles into the comfortable fiction of being a student preparing for another attempt. Friends from his hometown populate his days. Then those friends start dying, one after another, under mysterious circumstances. And Tamamori realizes, somewhere in the middle of it, that he has been living the same three rainy days over and over again. He starts running through Jimbouchou to save whoever is left. A pop-occult mystery wrapped in the ambiguous texture of a rainy season that may not be real.
