In 206X, the island resort of Eleutheria floats on the Adrishina Sea, advertised as an earthly paradise built on the principle of total freedom. Kusaka Yukimitsu arrives there having lost everything he previously defined himself by — his work, his hometown, his beliefs. At Eleutheria, he meets Unica, a gray-haired girl who has also lost the things that mattered most to her: her father, and the diner restaurant that held her most important memories. Unica has one remaining dream: to bring the diner back. Yukimitsu makes a decision. He will help her. In exchange, he asks for something she has that he no longer does: a dream to work toward. The Daft Dream Diner opens.
