Struck by visions of a catastrophe beyond Midgard, Eivor steps fully into the identity of Odin and descends into Svartalfheim — the mythic dwarven realm, now occupied by two invading forces: the Jotnars of Jotunheim and the fire-wielding Muspels from Muspelheim. The realm stretches from underground forges to gilded mountain peaks, beautiful and lethal in equal measure.
At the center of the conflict stands Surtr, an unkillable fire giant and the most dangerous enemy Odin has ever faced. Odin's true objective is to rescue his son Baldr, taken prisoner by Surtr's forces. To reach him, Odin must gain the trust of the dwarven clans and wield a suite of otherworldly abilities absorbed from defeated enemies — shape-shifting into a raven, resurrecting slain foes, infusing weapons with ice, converting skin to hardened magma — before facing a foe that cannot simply be killed.
