Freedom for a soul requires the death of a body — and the puzzle at the center of this game is figuring out which body that needs to be. The mechanic the game calls saluting is how it works: one character greets another and takes control of them, seeing the world through their eyes and carrying on conversations with entirely different combinations of people. New information opens up with each new perspective. Items and the people in different locations yield additional context. The answer — which character must die so that freedom becomes possible — is assembled from everything the story reveals.
