Libra Lapis Lazuli Private Academy is not an ordinary school, and the clock tower attached to it is not an ordinary tower. Koga Michiru handles assignments for the Bureau for the Investigation of Special Affairs alongside his friends, working through the school's accumulated mysteries as they surface. The routine shifts when Adelheid Ritter von Weinberger — a foreigner from an unspecified country — arrives at the school's door searching for something her grandmother left behind. She begins pushing assignments toward the Bureau in rapid succession. The investigation draws in the Realm of Night, the academy's most guarded secret. Time starts moving in unusual ways. Where Adelheid came from, and where she will return to, are questions that the Bureau was not prepared for.
