Everything available to you — the massive sword, the varied magic catalog, the physical advantages — and your enemies keep coming back. Defeat the protagonist as many times as you possibly can before they manage to defeat you. The confrontation goes on long enough that something like understanding may develop between you. Perhaps that is the point.
