Euro Nova is one of the last cities still standing on a scorched Earth, a century after corporate warfare finally finished what it started. At the city's working heart is a courier jump-bot — an anonymous, functional piece of infrastructure who delivers packages through the city's many stacked layers without complaint. Then a newer model arrives and the jump-bot is discarded. With a canine companion found in the city's lower reaches, he begins the long way home, which turns out to be considerably more complicated than delivery routes ever were.
