SCP 087 B

SCP-087 is an unlit staircase descending at a 38-degree angle. Each 13-step flight ends on a roughly 3-meter platform before the direction rotates 180 degrees and continues downward. The design limits sightlines to approximately 1.5 flights at any given point. A light source is required for anyone entering SCP-087, as there are no fixtures or windows. Light sources rated above 75 watts have proven ineffective — SCP-087 appears to absorb the excess. Whether the staircase has an endpoint is currently unknown.
