Leeorn and Jimkins are scout tank pilots who have been exiled to the disputed territories after doing something sufficiently irritating to high command that it resulted in their reassignment to the farthest edge of the front. While making their way through the contested lands, they stumble across an enemy mining operation extracting energy crystals — along with what appears to be a substantial quantity of gold. Waiting for reinforcements is not seriously considered. They charge in. For gold and glory.
