Lucas keeps to himself. A traumatic event closed him off from the world a long time ago and he has not opened back up since. His teacher Keith has been watching and worrying. His classmate Ken has been trying to get through the walls. Then Lucas's mother announces her engagement — and it turns out that her fiancé's family includes both Keith and Ken.
