Soul In the Chamber

An archaeologist sifting through the ruins of the fallen Khal Empire pulls an ancient gun from the rubble. The moment it leaves the ground, the soul of an emperor — assassinated, unresolved, waiting in the spirit world — is dragged into the weapon's body. The archaeologist has triggered a collision between two worlds that will become catastrophic if not reversed. To stop it, the emperor must be returned to his final resting place. That means traveling through the collapsing overlap of past and present, fighting the furious and broken spirits of the empire's violent history, and uncovering both the circumstances of the emperor's death and the chain of events that destroyed the civilization he ruled.
