Wolfenstein 3D came out in 1992 and BJ Blazkowicz shot his way through the Nazis and even killed Hitler. The game was a success, and it has remained one ever since. But the original story ends in the 1940s, leaving a question open: what happened to everyone afterward? The years were not kind. Spry young soldiers become old men. BJ's grandson needs to leave the planet for a while and cannot take his grandfather with him. Old William gets placed in a retirement facility. He wakes up surrounded by familiar faces from a very different context. Hans Grosse is there. A lot of old enemies are there. BJ has escaped difficult situations before, but this one involves fake teeth and a cane, and the ghosts waiting outside may be harder to face than the ones inside.
