Hatching

Tinja is twelve years old, a competitive gymnast, and desperate to earn the approval of a mother who has built her identity around the image of an ideal family. One night, Tinja finds an egg. It is large and unusual and she decides to keep it hidden. What eventually hatches from it is something she was not prepared for — something that cannot easily be explained or contained.
