Hazuki Makimura's Love Story is the Nintendo Switch port of the 2021 romantic visual novel where after a series of misfortunes, with the protagonist, Kayabuki Akira, being trapped after a tree fell into his apartment and the wall connecting his temporary apartment room to his neighbor's collapses, he's now forced to live with his neighbor, Makimura Hazuki, and deal with living together and getting to know each other better.

Akira has no particular direction in life. When a tree falls on his apartment, he is relocated to Shoufuku-sou — a decrepit building with exactly the character you might expect from a place held together by habit. Almost immediately, the wall between his unit and the next collapses. On the other side is his new neighbor, Makimura Hazuki. This was not how either of them intended to meet. Now they must cohabitate while Akira helps Hazuki pursue her passion for movies and something slowly develops between them. A warm slice-of-life romance visual novel.
