Swarm the City

A demon called Karr the Great once became King of Zombies, launched an attack on Earth, and turned nearly half the global population into his undead legions. He was eventually stopped and sealed underground beneath what became known as Dalby Church. Centuries of wars and forgotten history later, that church was razed in territorial fighting, and the rulers who replaced it knew nothing of what lay beneath. Buildings went up. The legend faded. In 1986, workers on a new construction site broke through to the deepest foundation and found a sealed black sarcophagus studded with strange stones. They opened it looking for treasure. What they woke up instead had been waiting a very long time for exactly this moment.
