The protagonist of Dirty Swamp has spent his life as a slave doing the unpleasant work his master Sanchez does not want to do himself. He despises temples. He is about to loot one anyway when his circumstances change completely: he is suddenly somewhere else entirely, somewhere foreign and unexplained, where he has no master and where his ironic, cheeky personality is no longer a liability that gets him hit in the face. He makes friends. He makes enemies. For the first time, he gets to choose.
