On February 6, 2036, computers across the world simultaneously went berserk and destroyed major cities. Scientists named it the "2036 Problem" and predicted a similar event in 2038. To prevent it, they built the Gaia Supercomputer and used it to create an Earth Simulator. The simulation succeeded. Then it created its own Earth Simulator inside itself — and that one created another. The scientists running the original project begin to suspect that they are not running anything at all. Anonymous;Code is a science fiction visual novel set in 2037, centered on Takaoka Pollon — a hacker with the ability to "Save and Load" reality through his Hacking Trigger System — as the recursive crisis approaches its next scheduled collapse.
