Mizen Tantei: The Protea Cases

Chiharu Izuki has never fully recovered from being kidnapped when she was younger. The trauma shaped her into someone who can rarely act decisively when it matters, and the inability to help people when they need it has stayed with her as a source of quiet, persistent shame. Working at a detective agency, she stumbles onto a Metropolitan Police app called Protea — a crime prediction AI currently being tested in the Shinjuku district. Following Protea's projections, Chiharu begins encountering incidents before they happen, working alongside a detective who requests her cooperation and a mysterious boy who appears at crime scenes without explanation. A new chapter of her life has started, built around preventing harm before it occurs.
