In a version of the Touhou universe that has been reimagined as a corporate dystopia, Reimu works as a Cleaner for Sanzu Corporation — a job that involves dealing with problems the company would rather not discuss publicly. A web of fairy drug trade, corporate-sanctioned violence, and nonsensical architecture surrounds her, along with a series of cryptic phone calls she cannot trace. Every river separating life from death has been privatized. Dying is now a benefit available only to the very wealthy. Mortal employees are stuck in an endless loop of pain, paperwork, and overtime — and Reimu is trying to find a way out, or at least a better-paying position somewhere.
