End of Summer

Yuuji finished college, took a job, and had to leave it within a year after developing physical problems from the work environment. He moved to his grandparents' vacant house in the countryside to recover and began uploading videos about rural life. They found an audience. He built a modest income from them. Then a pandemic spread across the world and, one by one, everyone in the village became ill. He was not infected. The last person in the village eventually died. Yuuji remained — alive, alone, and unsure whether he would eventually join everyone else. Then a girl named Mio walked into the village one day without any particular explanation, and something Yuuji had almost forgotten came back to him.
