Late 22nd century America. You are dying — an incurable disease is ending your life in a hospital room. A scientist from the world's largest corporation arrives with an offer: have your consciousness transferred into an android body. No one knows yet whether the process actually preserves the person who goes in, or simply creates a copy that believes it is you. With nothing left to lose, you accept. You wake up in the machine. The people who left your side when you were dying are not sure whether to believe the voice that says it is still you. You are not entirely sure either.
