An average office worker has grown exhausted by the same cycle: commute, work, go home. On the way home one evening, he wanders into a small roadside shrine and makes an offering, praying for something to change. The next morning, he wakes up with cat ears growing from his head. A man named Rihito appears at the door, explaining that a mischievous fox spirit called Kitsunegami has cursed him for entertainment, and that breaking the curse requires two things: entering a contract with Rihito, and finding Kitsunegami himself. The moment the contract is signed, Rihito's commands become binding on the protagonist's body. The shrine is gone when they go looking. But somewhere in this city, Kitsunegami is waiting.
