Jay Smith left his own hotel a decade ago. When he receives a blank letter from the building, he goes back — only to find everything has changed, with no trace of what it used to be. Then he learns that the hotel he once ran never existed in the first place. Exploring the building in shock, he meets the hotelier Libera, who seems to know something about it.
